The region is home to Kurds who speak the Zaza-Gorani language, and has a signical Turkish popluation, (10% are ethnic Turks), As such, in recent years, Zazakistan has been a near soucr of tension between Turkey and Kurdistan over the Zaza-Gorani-speaking kurds (that they are Turks who speak a Iranian langauge) |
