Eldia is an island nation off the coast of the continent of Africa. It is a medium sized island with it's government being comprised of a Common Parliament, Prime Minister, and Vice Minister.

History

Eldia started off as a small island attached to India before it became an island. As continental shifts happened the land became an Island and people that were on it named it "Paradiso". These people lived in collective tribes across the land and one of these tribes were the Eldians. The Eldians were a light-skinned (meaning Caucasian) tribe in the central and eastern parts of Paradiso. They gradually started to gain prominence by warring with other tribes to soldify their dominance and proclaim themselves as the rulers of the island. As time moved forward, the Eldians started to form a more organized structure for their tribe and formed something that they called a "nation". This nation was called Eldia and was claimed to be the entire island of Paradiso. They started to explore the forests and mountaina of the island and tamed the remaining tribes on the island, with most of them becoming minorities, migrating somewhere else, or dying off. The Eldians established a capital in the centre of the country called Wellandia and started to pass legislations and laws to civilize the people of the island. As Eldia approached the year of 1670, an era of turbulence began. The Prime Minister at this time was a man named Sakarin Poltry and he started to do some things that were detrimental to minority people of the island. The Gaskarites, a tribal people that stayed with Eldia were now being segregated from the rest of the Eldians and were now given less rights from the government. As these laws grew to be accepted by the Eldians, a new policy was made that segregation was state mandated and was enforced across Eldia. Reservations were made for thr Gaskarites and this led to a movement for their freedom from Eldia but these movements were cracked down on almost immediately. 30 years later, Prime Minister Poltry died and he was succeeded by Losterian Yoruba. As his reign was uneventful, so were his succeeding prime ministers, with many coming and going with little impactful legislation from them. Then in 1810 a new face in politics appeared. Their name was Eden Yeager, a very young man with a very Poltryist approach to things. He eventually ran for Prime Minister in 1815 and won, becoming the current Prime Minister of Eldia. As of now, he is passing legislations to start exploring the outside of the Island as well as stripping away even more rights from Gaskarites.

Politics

Eldia has been politically aligned towards colonialism, democracy and statism. Many parties advocate for mainstream feelings in Eldia and continue to keep those feelings today. The Political Parties are the Eldian Colonialist Party, The Eldian Democratic Party, and the Eldian Equality Party. The Current PM, Eden Yeager, is apart of the Eldian Democratic Party. He even has his own sect called the "Yeagerists" with its main ideology being Yeagerism
