The August Referendum was a legally binding referendum held in Pangus, Prudenesia, and Nu Sparta, that took place on the 16th of August, 2016, on whether or not to join the three former states into one new nation, called New Pangus. The referendum resulted in overall support for creating a new, singular nation, with 52% of the vote in favor for unification. The result was a split between constituent countries, with the majority if Prudenesia voting not to create a new unified nation, but with overall support in-favor, they found themselves within the new nation regardless.
