The Neuew Armed Forces is the combined command of three separate yet equal branches of the Neuew military, bearing the responsibility for the firsthand defense of Neuew interests. De jure founded in 813, the current incarnation of the forces was founded in 1923, with the creation of the Ninzengin and their addition to the chain of command. Co-existing with multiple local defence forces present within the Neuew islands, the Neuew Armed Forces primarily exist to exert the will of the Neuew, Sjaanist majority of the Islands.
Based around an aggressive foreign and domestic policy, the primary doctrine of the forces revolves around a maintaining of Neuew trade relations abroad and a maintaining over the disparate "vassal" governments at home. Focusing moreso on brute-force tactics rather than careful organization, the military allots a decent portion of its budget towards recruitment and maintaining of the infantry. Conscription, while suspended indefinitely, is still de jure existent, but no situations requiring it are foreseen in the near future. Despite the infantry focus, armored forces are also extensive, with tanks typically being integrated in infantry forces. Officers are also allowed to take their own initiative within a structured plan. A focus is put on maintaining domestic technology, viewing the utilization of foreign vehicles and equipment to be a threat to national interests.
