The Volkstage, (English: Peoples Diet) is the Daunlaundic federal parliament. It is the only body that is directly elected by the Daunlaundic people on the federal level. It can be compared to a lower house. The Volkstage was established by the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany (Daunlaundic: ) in 1831 as one of the legislative bodies of Daunlaund and thus it is the historical successor to the earlier Konigstage.
