The Loukussa Offensive, known officially as Operation Towton, was an operation of the Prodavan Sovereignty Crisis undertaken by units the Imperial Vionnan Army. The 12th Parachute Brigade and 8th (independant) Pathfinder Battalion dropped on the night of 15th March between Loukussa and the village of Ladlin. The Pathfinders, commanded by Major Elias Horke, dug in on a rigeline next to Ladlin along the main road to Loukussa to prevent 12 Para from being attacked from behind. Here they repulsed an attack by the 28th Division of the Prodavan Army in the Battle of Ladlin. Loukussa was taken by 12 Para in a two day battle against elements of the 11th Division.
The Operation is seen as a success for Imperial forces, even though they had to abandon their conquests on the 21st. It succeeded in destroying much Prodavan military infrastructure and diverting two divisions from the Kundakçı and Southern fronts. Imperial forces sustained approximately 900 casualties while just over 3000 Prodavan troops were lost.
