[[Daghestan]] (Russian: Дагестан), officially the [[Daghestan|Union of Daghestan]], is a federal republic int the North Caucuses region. It borders Ossetia to the east, Azeribaijan to the south, Kalmykia to the north, and the Caspian Sea to the west. Dagestan is a republic made up of many different peoples and officially recognizes 14 languages within its borders. Since the 1990s, Dagestan has seen an increase in population, becoming one of the fastest growing nations. Chechnya, Ingushetia, Avaristan, Lezgia, South Kamlykia, and Kumykia.
