Father Márfi is the Abbot of the Abbey Upon Velencei Németújvár and the last remaining Bystríki Monk within the Imperial East. He was the step-father of Clarence when Clarence was abandoned in Esztergom.

Father Márfi is introduced as one of the few characters that András I knows within Velencei Németújvár due to the relationship between András and Clarence that has existed since András's infant stage.
