The 21st Independent Regiment (nicknamed "Roughnecks") is an independent light infantry regiment of the Shenandoahan Army National Guard which is specialized in mountain warfare . It is headquartered at Fort Camden, in Mallard, Monongalia, near the city of Fairmont. However, the majority of the regiments component battalions are forward deployed to other locations within the nation.
