The year is 1972. It has been about ten months since ''Jack Mannera'' arrived in the nation of Bostaeze. He lays down, thinking about the craziness from two months ago when General Siajan was killed and Warrant Officer Louie Torres revealed that the war has been going on for years, despite the announcement of the war only happening eight months prior to that moment. A week after the battle, he was promoted to Corporal. A flashback happens showing the moment. Private Moreira approaches Jack and says that General Castro would like to see him. In General Clifton Castro's makeshift office, he says that he would like to reiterate how impressed he was with his duel with the Bostaezian super soldier, although he still believes that he didn't do it alone. He promotes Jack Mannera to Corporal, saying that he did the impossible and has shown so much talent after ten months. Jack is very thankful. Outside, Luke and Tony celebrate with Jack.

Back in the present, he sits with ''Amaro, Luke Balentos, Moreira, Santos and Tony Dawson''. ''Private Costio'', ''Private Mandao'' and ''Corporal Toza'' approach them and also sit down, with the group all discussing home life. As Louie Torres sleeps, he dreams about his small battle against General Albior Siajan, finding him oddly weak. He wakes up and joins the group before being called out of the tent by ''Lieutenant Rocha''. A shot rings out. Many, including Jack, exit the tent to find Lieutenant Rocha dead on the ground with Torres standing above him. He tries to explain that Rocha pulled a gun on him as General Castro comes outside and orders Torres to be killed for fragging. Torres manages to escape while many are confused over what just happened.

It is now four months later. Jack Mannera monologues about missing his family and not having seen Louie Torres since the incident with Rocha. A part of him believes that Rocha pulled a gun as he may have been threatened by Torres' power or was even a mole. He also mentions no super soldiers from the Bostaezian army being seen in any battles since his showdown with The Warden months ago. He also mentions that the late General Siajan has been replaced by General Ossuad. Jack notices that he is a little stronger than usual. After a few days, he notices how he is getting stronger and stronger by the day and confides in his close friends, Luke Balentos and Tony Dawson, who are shocked to see how much stronger he got in four days. In the battle that ensues later that night, Jack is able to use his newfound strength to his advantage and help win the battle. General Castro asks to see him in his office, where he mentions how everybody is getting a little freaked out over this sudden strength due to the previous super soldiers and asks if he has been taking steroids. Jack says that he hasn't and General Castro says that, if he is developing superpowers, he needs to know how. Nobody knows where the powers have come from and he has speculated that the Bostaezian government could be behind it. Jack says that his theory is, definitely, supported by General Siajan and The Warden. Plus, after that battle, no Bostaezian super soldiers have appeared. General Castro then asks if he has seen Warrant Officer Louis Adalberto Torres since he killed Lieutenant Rocha, to which Jack says he hasn't.

Before they can continue, another battle happens with Jack showing off more of his super strength. He then notices a few Bostaezian super soldiers, which shocks everybody. While he manages to come out on top, albeit barely, Mandao and Santos are killed. While they all believe that the battle is over, a surviving super soldier drags Costio and Moreira away, one in each arm, but Jack manages to save them and defeat said super soldier.

It has been two weeks since that last battle. At night, Jack ventures off into the woods, coming across regular Bostaezian soldiers, who Jack deals with. Louie Torres then comes up behind him and expresses glee that he is still alive, to which Jack expresses that same glee. He then shows off his newfound super strength and says that he woke up like this. Torres is very confused and said that it's very likely that the government is up to something. Torres then remembers that he is wanted for fragging but Jack says that he doesn't believe it was that--he believes it was self defense. With the random heart attacks and now this, he feels like the Vitosian super soldiers are being targeted. Jack says that he is so happy that he is still alive and will come back earlier in the evening so they can talk about this more.

The next night, Jack meets up with Louie in a small clearing. They are suddenly ambushed by Bostaezian soldiers, including a super soldier, which leads into an intense fight. After their victory, Jack asks Torres what happened with Rocha. Louie says that he was called outside by Rocha, who then immediately brought out a gun and aimed it at him. He felt like Rocha was afraid of him and tried to talk him down. Before he knew it, he grabbed the gun out of his hands. Rocha then reached for a knife and that is when he fired. General Castro and a few Vitosian soldiers come out of the forest into the small clearing. Castro shakes his head, saying that Mannera lied after all about having seen Torres. As the soldiers aim and fire at the pair, Castro walks back into the forest. The duo escape the soldiers and notice Castro suddenly vanishing. The pair come to the conclusion that General Castro is one of them. As the super soldiers appear to wake up one day with powers, Jack wonders if the same happened with the general. Louie doesn't care and finds that none of this makes sense. Have super powers always existed? Is there an awakening when you get them? Jack says that Louie brings up some good points. Suddenly, Louie suffers from a heart attack, which causes Jack to panic and try to save his friend, albeit unsuccessfully. Castro appears behind him, saying that he was hoping that he would be different than the others. He said, time and time again, that General Siajan was behind it but, instead, they always tried to see if that was a fact or just some theory. Maybe he should have worded it better. This leads to a fight that sees Castro as an invincible being. As Jack is lying on the floor, badly injured, Castro says that, before he dies, he will confirm one thing: the super powers aren't random. He, personally, chooses who gets them.

As Castro vanishes, Jack tries his hardest to get up. As he struggles, he then finds himself in a large glass casket filled with a strange liquid surrounded by others. The real Clifton Castro, with a knife, is standing over him. As Jack rips the tubes out of him, Castro then flees. Jack escapes the casket and notices his body looking different. He shakes it off and chases after Castro, who begins to monologue. He reveals that he is, in fact, a former military general. He is heading this project looking to create super soldiers for the Vitosian army. As Jack corners Castro, he also reveals that he choose him as well and put him through a test. He holds up the empty vial labeled XF-63K. Scared, Castro drops the vial, which breaks. Jack asks why he looks so different. Castro says that the time in the simulation and the time in real life works differently. Jack has really been in the simulation for six years. Suddenly, the fear leaves Castro's face and he reveals that he was shocked to see the son of Major Gabe Mannera joining the army at his branch. His brother, William, didn't see the same potential he saw and told him to send him home. However, he knew in his heart that William wanted to protect him (Jack). Jack asks how he got everybody into the simulation. Castro says that the terrorist attack at the boot camp was his doing--he did it to get the soldiers with potential onto the plane to drug them. Jack is shocked about the terrorist attack and says that innocent people died during that. Castro reveals that it was intentional and even had his own brother targeted as he didn't see him as useful anymore. Jack asks if Bostaeze is even real with Castro saying that the nation and the war were fabricated within the simulation. When Jack asks how such technology even exists, Castro says that it has for decades thanks to The One Percent and he was chosen to oversee the project. Guns are now pointed at Jack from all directions as Jack realizes that he was answering questions to stall for time. As the guns fire, Jack manages to knock out every soldier there while Castro is shot and injured. Jack then knocks Castro out and runs to find a phone to call the authorities.

It dawns on Jack that it is now August 1974. As he leaves the building with the cops rushing in, he notices that he is somewhere in Gatovita, Kingsland. A week later, he is shown visiting Luke Balentos and Tony Dawson in the hospital. Luke reveals that the government has covered up the whole incident. Apparently, after the war in Agliyya, the nation has been at peace and whatever happened with them is to not make it to the public. He advises Jack to pretend to have amnesia about it. Costio and Toza, unfortunately, learned the hard way. Later that day, he is seen visiting his mother, Melanie, who is very happy to see him. She says that she heard that he was in Restroenia helping the civil war going on there. She reveals a letter saying that Jack Mannera was promoted to Warrant Officer. As the news talks about a war brewing between Vitosium and Froiland, a knock on the door has a couple of soldiers ask for Warrant Officer Mannera. As music plays, it shows a little montage of him in the war using his super strength against the opposing side. Roll credits.

Plot

The year is 1969. It has been about ten months since Jack Mannera arrived in the nation of Bostaeze. He lays down, thinking about the craziness from two months ago when General Siajan was killed and Warrant Officer Louie Torres revealed that the war has been going on for years, despite the announcement of the war only happening eight months prior to that moment.
