Claims are based on bloodline and legitimacy and typically follows the monarch's children, followed by his brothers and their children, then his sisters and their children. Any individual who holds a place in the succession can be disclaimed via their own personal choice or through other circumstances such as marrying a foreign monarch or pursuing a marriage outside of the reigning monarch's approval.
