Qalam-Kaldor (/ˈkæləmˈkælˌdɔːr/), sometimes called Refuge, is a confederation of two planetary systems: Qalam and Kaldor. It is situated in the outer regions of the Human Federation. It consists of a total of four inhabited habitable planets (Zemur, Yatur, Ysor and Kaldor) with a population between 500 and 600 billion. As with most systems in the Human Federation, Qalam-Kaldorʼs population consists largely of humans, although there is a native population of waka on some of the planets of the system.
