The election saw the populist [[Our Revolution]], lead by former comedian and TV personality [[Simeon Brasa]], win a landslide victory. It was the first time a party other then the Socialists and National Conservatives won an election since the Seketese revoluion, with both parties recieving reconrd low seat and vote counts. Socialist Party support collapsed, with their caucus halved and many prominent ministers losing their districts.
