San Francisco de Tilcara, shortened and popularly known as Tilcara, is from October 27, 2022 the capital city of the Republic of La Boca as the outcome of the Third Sibermian-Boquense War, where the Sibermian forces occupied the capital Quilmes and divided the country between north and south. Tilcara is located in an elevation of aroun 2465 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest located urban areas of the country.

Climate

Tilcara falls in a mild continental humid climate, with mild rainy summers and cold dry winters. In winter, frost and snow are very common.
