The Nerotysian Revolution was an anti-colonial revolution and ensuing civil war which erupted across the Kolish colony of Nerotysia, lasting from 1921 to 1924. The revolution effectively ended the Third Kolish Empire and resulted in the creation of the Nerotysian Revolutionary Union, the world's second communist state.
The December Uprising overthrew Kolish rule in the colonial capital of Shynka on December 5, 1921, which sparked a wave of riots and uprisings across the peninsula. A few months later, the May Days revolts saw the collapse of Kolish authority in dozens of Nerotysian cities and towns, which was followed by the destruction of a Kolish army at the Battle of Saszalag and the end of Kolish rule in the peninsula. A civil war erupted between the socialist revolutionaries, led by the communist Volnik party, and the nationalist revolutionaries, led by the fascist-leaning Revolutionary Front. The Volniks eventually defeated their enemies and established their supremacy in the peninsula, purging some of their former allies and absorbing the rest into the party.
