Timzit, officially the Kingdom of Timzit (Arabic: المملكة التمزيت, Berber: ⵜⴰⴳⵍⴷⵉⵜ ⵏ ⵟⵉⵎⵣⵉⵜ) is a country in northwest Africa mostly covered by the Sahara desert. It was formed by the consensus of Arabs, Berbers, other tribes, Christians and Muslims under the Crown leadership of the King Hassan III. In 1912, it became a French protectorate during the Interwar period, that lasted until 1956. Spain occupied the now called Southern Provinces, and resigned its sovereignty over them in 1975.
