Regimental History

Concordian Civil War

The regiment, under the name of the 71st Pennsylvania Royal Volunteer Infantry Regiment, was created by Major General Arthur Weston MacDonald with volunteers mostly originating from Pennsylvania. They first saw engagement at the Battle of Fredericksburg, where they suffered moderate to heavy casualties from attempting to take Republican defenses along with the other Royalist regiments.

Regimental Tartan

The tartan originates from MacDonald's Accordish clan of MacDonald. When asked about implementing this throughout his regiment, MacDonald replied that it was to be "an honor to have to recognize my own heritage, clan and country. As for the lads themselves, they are considered a part of it and they are my family, and they'll be damn proud to wear it."
