Tejas, officially the People's Republic of Tejas is a partially recognized state in North America founded as outcome of the 2070-2094 Civil War between Republicans and Democrats in the former US state of Texas. During the post-war, Tejas began the rebuilding with a speedy economic and social growth, with an increase of 1.7% of the GDP in 2095, and 2.2% in 2096. The country is known for the inexistence of illiteracy and free universal healthcare. Despite of being renamed People's republic, it was not established a communist regime in the country, but a national agreement between two major parties.

Tejas is subdivided in 254 counties and 1221 municipalities. It's capital is Austin and the largest city is Houston, followed by Dallas and San Antonio.
