The Government of Hverland, referred to as the National Council, is the national cabinet of Hverland, the country's executive authority. The National Council consists of the Prime Minister—appointed and dismissed by the Presiding Officer of the Folktingi—and other cabinet ministers, appointed and dismissed at the sole discretion of the Prime Minister. The National Council is responsible for its actions to the Folktingi.
Five parties are represented in the National Council:
- Independence: 6
- Farmer–Labour: 2
- Christian Democrats: 2
- New Future: 2
- Centre: 1
