History
The Bellatores Foederati gang originated in Paradise City, in the 1990s by Backlands refugees in the city's slums who immigrated to the city to escape the civil war raging in the jungles. Originally, the gang's main purpose was to protect refugees from other, more established Paradisian street, but it soon took on a life of its own. Since then, the group has evolved into a major drug smuggling and human trafficking organization, gun running, and contract killing. The gang has also been known to target Border Patrol and immigration agents who threaten their operations, and have sent hired killers to several countries to spread fear and intimidation amongst law enforcement.
Gang markings and hand signs
Many Bellatores Foederati members cover themselves in tattoos. Common markings include "BF", "Bellatores", a dragon, the name of their clique, and other symbols.
Members of Bellatores Foederati, like members of most modern gangs, utilize a system of hand signs for purposes of identification and communication. One of the most commonly displayed is the "dragon's head". This hand sign is similar to the same symbol commonly seen displayed by heavy metal musicians and their fans.
