Third Friday of June	Midsummer's Day Midsumerdagen	1990	Nationwide	Celebration of both the summer solstice and the wedding of John I of Oanthan and Amka of Distan on 20 June 1743, which unified the two Charvillean royal dynasties. After the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Charville in 1973, Midsummer's Day was chosen as the date of the first Ekonsas Pride March (now the largest pride parade in Charville) the following year. The holiday is now deeply associated with the LGBT rights movement in Charville. As part of his "Imotkomm" policies, President Agnar Haagensen moved the holiday to the first Monday of June in 1979—this quickly fell out of favour with the public, and was reversed back to its traditional and current date in 1990.

Many Charvilleans choose to work on this holiday in substitution for paid time off on the day following Annafjorring or Koldmoon. During this day, all government offices and many private businesses hang a portrait of Svensen in a communal area. Common dishes eaten are part of reportedly Svensen's favourite meal: soth (a soup made with mutton and lamb meatballs) and diplomat pudding (diplomateftirr)
