The Royal Fresian Navy was first formed in 1325 after the formation of the Nördlichemänner Reich and the Fenja Decree which called for all lords under the empire to unite their combat naval vessels into a unified navy to protect their maritime fleets within the Aestas Sea and Hylian Sea, it was later reformed and integrated into the Fresian Armed Forces in 1824 alongside the Fresian Confederate Army.

The Royal Fresian Navy's main base of operations is in Seafort, are provided a budget of ƒ14,610,750,000, and has 8,000 sailors in active service as of 2022 currently deploying 1 Seaside-Class Landing Helicopter Dock, 5 Leo-Class Destroyer, 12 Piper-Class Frigate Frigate, 10 Caitlin-Class Corvette, 3 Florence-Class Minehunter, 6 Samantha-Class Submarine, 2 James-Class Submarine and 1 Nation-Class Heavy Cruiser for ceremonial purposes after The Great War with the navy forming of 4 Flotilla out of their active ships to patrol the Hylian Sea, Aestas Sea and the places near those areas.

The Royal Fresian Navy's doctrine depends on power projection upon its neighbouring nations as a maritime protector which is why the RFN's Flotillas are group in a way for superior firepower, this doctrine of power projection is also why the Fresian navy still has a Nation-Class Heavy Cruiser as a ceremonial but combat-ready ship as a symbol of peace and freedom upheld by the Fresian Armed Forces.
