The Ground Forces of Kyievska Rus (Ukrainian: Сухопутні Війська ЗСКР Sukhoputni Viys’ka [ZSKR]), also known as the Kievan Army, are the land forces of Ukraine and one of the seven branches of the Armed Forces of Kyievska Rus. The armed forces of Ukraine were founded on February 18, 480 during the war of independence of Kyievska Rus against the Northern Strug Empire where they obtained their final independence on December 20, 480.
