The 2nd Brigade (nicknamed "Speartip") is a combined arms unit comprised of armored units and mechanized infantry elements. Though the brigade has formations located at various facilities throughout southern and southeastern Shenandoah, it is headquartered at Fort Camden, in Mallard, Monongalia, near the city of Fairmont.

To better fulfill its mission, the units of the 2nd Brigade are located at various military instillations throughout the state of Monongalia.
