The Kyievska Rus referendum of December 12, 2023, was held on the question: Do you support the declaration of Catholicism as the official religion of Kyivska Rus and the draft law A/C.L15/2023? Participation was an overwhelming majority of 98.21% of people eligible to vote; "yes" won with a majority of 88.02%.
The referendum was aimed at reforming the constitution, the name of Kyievska Rus and the legal bases of the country. Law A/C.L15/2023 contemplates several changes to the constitutional order:
1. Change of name of the United Kingdom from Kyievska Rus to the Holy Kingdom of Kyievska Rus 2. Recognition of the Catholic Religion, in its Roman and Byzantine rite, as the official religion of Kyievska Rus 3. Reform the constitution of the Holy Kingdom of Kyievska Rus in accordance with Catholic norms with the exception of equal marriage and other norms established by the King 4. Put the new constitution to a vote
