Zoygaria claims historical precedence over the islands, as they were ruled directly by the Zoygarian Empire until its fall and were temporarily seized from Jumbosa by Zoygaria during the World War, and as such claims the islands to belong to it. The unresolved issue remains a strain in relations for the two nations.
