The Zijiri Stelladrome is a spaceport operated by the Blackhelm Confederacy in Bungussi.  Located near the Bungussan city of Zijiri, all manned Blackhelm Confederate space flights are launched from here.

History

Zijiri, formerly known as Sacherium, was selected by the Empire or Exponent because of its location on the equator and proximity to the sea. The site subsequently became the center of the Imperial Exponential space program, with construction beginning in 1956.

Post-Imperial era

During the negotiations surrounding the Treaty of Paradisa, which ended the Hesperidesian Revolutions in 1988, the Imperial government was sure to include a clause that would entitle them to a 99 year lease on the Zijiri site following the withdrawal of Imperial forces from the rest of Bungussi.

The site was temporarily abandoned following the collapse of the Empire of Exponent in 1996, but was subsequently re-leased to the Blackhelm Confederacy in 1997, after it became clear that the Confederacy was the legal successor state to the Empire and thus the inheritor of the Empire's legal obligations. The Blackhelm Confederacy has agreed to $200 million annual lease, with a Bungussan option to renegotiate every 20-years.
