Jan Magnussen Marburg is a Gütish politician and former businessman serving as the current Prime Minister of Gütland. Born into a wealthy family in the Gütish capital city of Surhavn, Marburg joined the Communal Democratic Party as a teenager, and was elected to the Surhavn City Council as a CDP candidate at the age of 29. 8 years later, he ran for the mayoralty of Surhavn, losing narrowly to the Blue Party's candidate Anna Troden, before successfully contesting the leadership of the CDP after the resignation of its long-time leader Trygve Haug. His party went on to win a plurality of the seats at the 885th Thing election. He proceeded to form a coalition with the Fusion Party, becoming Prime Minister.
