The armed forces that serve Stretta are commonly known as AFoS (the Armed Forces of Stretta). They comprise of three main arms, the army, navy and air force. The army is by far the largest of these arms, although more than half of these are in the reserves. The armed forces are currently going through a comprehensive restructuring, replacing outdated equipment and ensuring the smooth running of a peace-time military capable of quick responsive action.

While the post-war military may have been strong, without active combat, it had stagnated. After shocking reports into soldier's equipment, the government decided that as a new nation, Stretta needed to bolster the protection of it's borders.

  • Army: 407,141 (includes 240,000 reservists)
  • Navy: 188,589
  • Air Force: 103,460
