The RMOS, or Rapid Mortar System is a a 120 mm automatic twin barreled, breech loaded mortar turret currently in service with the Dnieguan Armed Forces. Designed and developed by Hägglunds Teknikwappen, A/D in the eraly 1990s, the RMOS was conceived to mount a rapid fire mortar system to pre-existing armored fighting vehicles without the need for large changes to the vehicles. A version for naval use, the NMOS, is also used on watercraft.
Able to fire guided 120mm munition, the RMOS is boasted as being highly accurate. Combined with a high rate of fire of 16 rounds a minute (sustained), the RMOS is considered to be highly efficient.
