The '''Aurean Tunnels''' are a set of {{wp|Underwater tunnel|undersea tunnels}} traversing the [[Aurean Straits|Western Aurean Strait]] between [[Montecara]] and [[Paretia]]. They consist of a twin-bore rail tunnel and a pair of road tunnels. Planned and built between 1960 and 1987, they were one of the most expensive engineering projects in world history.
