Adrinian City is the heart of the nation of Adrinian. With a population of 400,000 located roughly in the center of the country, the city serves as the administrative nerve center of the Republic. The city houses the parliament, presidential palace, supreme court, and all other relevant government buildings. The city only rose to prominence after the Second Adrinian Civil war, when it became the capital of the Third Confederation.

History

It is not known precisely when the city that is now the capital was founded. It is thought to have arisen during the colonization of the outer provinces by Nueva Imperia and Vendria during the late 1700s, but it is not known for sure. It is possible that the site was abandoned and resettled on multiple occasions, as conflict and uncertainty would have been the norm for such frontier town.

It was not until the dawn of The Second Confederation of Adrinian that the city rose tor true prominence. The valley in which it the city is situated became home to the nation's first railway between Tierra Worden and Nueva Imperia, turning the young city into a hub of trade and migration. This would continue until the confederations collapse in The Second Adrinian Civil War, where the city's strategic importance turned it into a high-value target for both sides. The city was hotly contested during the campaigns of 1914, and was nearly reduced to rubble until it's eventual capture by coalition forces.

After the war, the city was nominated to be the new capital of The Third Confederation of Adrinian by Inigo Guterres, and eventually won out against other candidates such as Ciudad de Worden and Puerto de Arcos. The city has retained the title since that time, and houses the presidential mansion as well as the offices of Parliament.
