Early life and education

Sigridur Björnsdóttir was born on December 9, 1977, in Hverhöfn, the capital city of Hverland. She grew up in a working-class family and was the youngest of three siblings. Her father was a fisherman, and her mother worked as a nurse at the National Medical Center. She attended local public schools in Hverhöfn and went on to study political science at the University of Hverland. After completing her undergraduate degree, she pursued a master's degree in public policy and administration in the United States.

Political career

Sigridur Björnsdóttir began her political career as a member of the Hverhöfn City Council, where she served from 2003 to 2011.
