Corey Charles Rodman (born June 3, 1994) is an American professional basketball player and point guard for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Considered to be one of the greatest players in NBA history, Rodman is a three-time NBA champion, two-time NBA Finals MVP, and a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player.
The son of former NBA player Dennis Rodman and Catherine, Princess Royal, a member of the British royal family, Rodman initially played on the collegiate level for the University of California, Los Angeles, before entering the NBA at twenty years old.
Selected as the nineteenth overall pick by the Chicago Bulls, his father's former team, Rodman achieved an impressive start to his career as he led the Chicago Bulls to their first championship since 1998, thereby winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award while also leading the season as its top scorer. In the following year, Rodman led Chicago Bulls to a second consecutive title by defeating the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of the previous final bout. However, a subsequent decline in overall performance, during which the Chicago Bulls were twice defeated 4-0 by the Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs, saw Rodman eventually depart the team for the Golden State Warriors at the end of the 2019-20 season.
In his first season with the Golden State Warriors, during which he made the All-NBA First Team for the first time, Rodman led the team to the conference finals where they later lost 3-4 to the Los Angeles Clippers. In the following season, where he once again led as the season's top scorer, the Golden State Warriors won their sixth championship title by defeating the Boston Celtics 4-2. However, despite a promising follow-up season where Rodman became the top scorer for the second consecutive season, the Golden State Warriors suffered a major 0-4 loss to the Denver Nuggets, effectively ending their title defence.
A member of a prestigious sporting family, in addition to being the son of the famed Dennis Rodman, Rodman is also the half-brother of American professional soccer player Trinity Rodman and the cousin of four-time FIFA World Cup champion and retired professional footballer Sir William Carter. Since 2017, Rodman has been in a relationship with Las Vegas Aces point guard Kelsey Plum, to whom he is currently engaged.
