He played in Major League Baseball for ten seasons between 2005 and 2016 for the Detroit Tigers. Kasmere was an All-Star in 2011, and suffered a season-ending knee injury in March of 2014. Kasmere attempted to make a comeback in the two subsequent years, but noticed little to no success.
