Oceanview is an unincorporated community in Kennedy County in the Ibican state of West Monroe. The population was estimate as 5,500 at the 2020 Census.

Geography

Oceanview is located on the shore of the Garner Channel, a tidal water body between Kennedy Bay to the south and Sandlin Pass to the north. The city is on the mainland of West Monroe and is connected to Garner Island a free ferry that carries vehicles to the island.

Climate

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen climate classification system, Oceanview has a humid subtropical climate, Cfa on climate maps.

Education

Most of Oceanview is within the Orlando Independent School District. Schools of that district operates in the area include A. T. Keller Early Childhood School (Pre-K–1), Oceanview Elementary School (2-5), Oceanview Middle School (6–8), and Oceanview High School (9–12).
