Corvette
Corvettes are Small spacecraft intended to act as a Screen for the larger ships in the fleet, tho largely kept to patrol activities and fleet support.
Frigate
Frigates are similar or slightly smaller in size compared to destroyers, but weapons more focused on Point Defense and keeping the area clear of enemy strike craft and incoming missiles
Destroyer
Destroyers are the main frontline for fleets, they provide a screen for the much larger ships along with providing interception capabilities against strike craft and incoming missiles. Usually equipped with medium sized weaponry capable of dealing with peer threats, and easily putting aside smaller vessels like frigates and corvettes. Usually requiring support from its brethren to take on larger capital ships.
Light Cruiser
Light Cruisers are slightly larger than destroyers, however unlike its cruiser brethren it focuses more on a lot of light weaponry to engage smaller vessels like Destroyers, Frigates and Corvettes. Along with able to lead escort missions if highly threatened. Acting as a Screen for larger ships in the fleet, they act as Destroyer repellent and destroy any smaller vessels with ease that try to breakthrough and get closer to capital ships
Cruiser
Cruisers are bulkier versions of Destroyers capable of reconnaissance, independent scouting, leading a detachment of destroyers and frigates for raiding and heavy incursions unlike Light Cruisers, their weaponry is split between medium and light and moderate Point Defense systems. Capable of dishing out loads of damage to destroyers and smaller vessels while also dealing good damage to other cruisers. They are the Neutral zone between Battleships and Destroyer, capable of multi-role operations.
Heavy Cruiser
Heavy Cruisers are the heavier brethren of the Cruiser family carrying heavy weaponry capable of shredding most other cruisers. Along with providing a strong naval presence in a region, They can act as substitute for Capital ships such as Battlecruisers and Battleships. Usually engaging in larger naval battles as the line between Battleships and the rest of the fleet, they can also lead smaller fleets in defense and incursions into enemy space.
