[[Herlijan guard]] is a military unit which is not fully incorporated with the army, since 1824 they have they own comand structure which heavily tied with government. Most of the herlijan guard is stationed at the 5 largest commonwealth's cities near the government buildings, which they are protecting.
Herlijan guard at full is made out of 8600 active personal pickled out of the best regular volunteers. after that they work trough 6 months of extra training specialising in urban warfare.
