The Timerian Intelligence Agency (TIA) is the primary foreign intelligence service of Timeria, tasked with collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and disseminating intelligence related to national security. History

The Timerian Intelligence Agency (TIA) was founded in 1957 following the conclusion of the World War. The agency was established as a direct response to the growing complexities of global intelligence and the need for a centralized body to coordinate and analyze foreign intelligence for Timeria. Its creation was driven by the realization that a modern state required sophisticated tools for intelligence gathering, analysis, and covert operations to protect its national interests in an increasingly interconnected world.

Mission

The TIA’s primary mission is to serve as a clearinghouse for foreign policy intelligence and analysis. It is responsible for collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and disseminating foreign intelligence to Timerian policymakers, ensuring that the government has accurate and timely information to make informed decisions. Countering Global Threats

The TIA plays a pivotal role in Timeria's national security by countering global threats such as the terrorist organization Al-Fijar and the crime syndicate SHADOW. Through a combination of human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and cyber operations, the TIA works to neutralize these threats and prevent their influence from destabilizing Timeria and its allies.

Organizational Structure

• Office of the Director

1. Director of TIA: The Director is appointed by the President of Timeria and confirmed by the Senate. The Director is responsible for overseeing the agency's operations, setting strategic priorities, and ensuring that TIA’s activities align with national interests.
2. Deputy Director: Assists the Director in managing the agency and steps in during the Director's absence. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the agency.

• Strategic Intelligence Division (SID)

1. Focuses on acquiring and analyzing intelligence that impacts Timeria’s long-term strategic interests.
2. Monitors global political developments, military advancements, and economic trends.
3. Prepares intelligence reports for the President, National Security Council, and other key policymakers.

• Electronic and Cyber Warfare Division (ECWD)

1. Specializes in cyber intelligence, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence (SIGINT).
2. Engages in cyber operations, both defensive and offensive, to protect Timeria’s critical infrastructure and military assets.
3. Conducts counterintelligence operations to prevent cyber espionage and infiltration by hostile actors.

• Counterintelligence and Cryptography Division (CICD)

1. Responsible for counterintelligence operations aimed at detecting and neutralizing foreign espionage within Timeria.
2. Develops and implements advanced cryptographic systems to secure Timerian communications.
3. Works closely with the Timerian Armed Forces to ensure the security of military communications and data.

• Human Intelligence and Interagency Relations Division (HIRD)

1. Manages the agency’s human intelligence (HUMINT) operations, including the recruitment and handling of informants and assets in foreign countries.
2. Coordinates with other Timerian government agencies, foreign intelligence services, and international organizations to share intelligence and collaborate on joint operations.

• Clandestine Activities Division (CAD)

1. Conducts covert operations, including paramilitary activities, sabotage, and psychological warfare, to advance Timerian interests abroad.
2. Operates under strict secrecy, with activities often carried out in coordination with military special forces and other covert units.

Jurisdiction and Oversight

The TIA operates under the legal framework established by Timerian law, with a focus on foreign intelligence and covert operations. While the agency has broad powers to conduct its activities, it is subject to oversight by the Timerian Congress to ensure that its operations are conducted within the bounds of the law and in line with national interests.
