The First Battle of New Tevetdale was a battle of the Second Imperial-Balionic War. The opening engagement of the 1872 Lareno Campaign, the battle actually took place in the neighbouring state of New Ballaeter. The main Imperial field army under the Viscount Richmond marched up from West Oakcliffe, intent on securing a swift end to the war by taking several important ports on the Balionic northern coast. New Tevetdale, the principal port of the State of New Ballaeter was the first to be reached and came under assault by Richmond's Imperial army of 100,000 troops on 19th April 1872.
