The Laefold War, also known as the Invasion of Laefold, was a war fought between the Imperium through its provincial territory of Kva Norale and Kva Norale's northern neighbor, Laefold. The conflict began following the attack of Noralian civilian vessels by the Haan'derok Raiders, state-sponsored terrorist organization. The attack warranted a declaration of war with the Imperial Legions of Amador and Kva Norale military assets carrying out mass-scale amphibious landings across the Beghorks Island Chain.

Historically, tensions between Kva Norale and Laefold were always tense. A series of skirmishes had been fought throughout the last two centuries, with the Skirmish at the Bargkin Shield being of particular importance, as Laefoldian naval assets were able to engage and force a retreat of imperial forces in 2004. Laefold's safekeeping and public support of Bjorn Kornil's Haan'derok Raiders also worsened relations. A series of terrorist strikes, including the Bombing of the Melody Theater that killed 125 civilians resulted in a naval blockade of the Laefold's largest island, Orkask. The blockade was lifted following monetary reparations being paid for the affected families.

The war itself began on January 3, 2024 and would escalate in size over the coming months as Noralian forces, aided by mainland Amador, began a series of amphibious landings and targeted airstrikes across the encompassing Laefold Islands. The war itself would end on September 4, 2024, nine months following the start, when King Larry Laefold was killed in action and his son, Charles, would assume control of the remnants of the Laefoldian government - he would issues formal agreeance to terms of surrender and assured the compliance of the Laefoldian government over the course of the diplomatic negotiations.

The conflict was the first large-scale conflict Amador fought in the 2020s. The resulting aftermath of the conflict saw Kva Norale and by extensions, Amador, assimilate Laefold into its territories and expanding Amadorian influence in the Badlands. Laefold's remaining government would be dismantled over the next several years, while Noralian military forces would police the territory and significant reconstruction of the territory would ensue. The boy-king Charles would aid in the transition before he was ultimately killed following a vehicular accident in 2027.
