Mossex, officially the Holy Democracy of Mossex, is a island nation located in Asia. Being an island nation, it has no direct boarders, however it does have maritime borders. To the north is Cyprus, to the east is Israel, to the south is Egypt, and to the west is Libya. It's boarders extend throughout the entire island of Mossen. Its five integral regions span a combined area of 3,882 km2 (2412.16 sq mi;) and have a total population of 358,000 as of August 2024. Mossex is a semi-democratal religious lead nation, with its capital Mossex City, the largest and arguably most cultured and developed city within the country.
Mossex was assumed to be founded around the times of the Iron Age, however was only officially founded in 1208, the high middle ages. The nation was established by the native peoples, namely by their tribe leader at the time, Joseph Vi Mosseoa. The island was later discovered by an adventurer of the Ottoman Empire, Ahmet Yılmaz, leading to many Turkish cultures, language dialects, and bloodlines being established.
In the years of the dynasties, the house of Gerçek (Ger-see-yek) ruled over the island and many surrounding territories. The Gerçeks were well known for their extreme religious beliefs, and set in stone a code known as the "Iygun" (evolved from "Uygun", meaning "Proper" or "Correct"), which was a set of 112 rules all people under the rulers were expected to follow. Many of the laws were assumed to be taken from Hammurabi's Code, though this remains unproven.
