F28 Caracal
Gaellicia acquired a production license for the P-28 Vircattus from Adaptus in 1977. In Gaellician service, the aircraft is designated the F28 Caracal.
F-28Cs built in the 1990s. Incorporates glass cockpit, ground attack capability, AN/APG-71 radar (digital version of AN/AWG-9).
F-28D is an upgrade program enacted in the 2000s. Combination of re-manufactured C models and newly built aircraft. New single-piece canopy and new engines. Added Link 16. 24 operational, 52 in storage.
