Marco Richard Reza Mansour Vasconi-Francesconi Al-Bu'said was born on 16 December 2003 in {{wp|Sorengo}}. His mother, Natalia Silvia Francesconi, is a dentist who, in 1997, married Nicolas Manuel Vasconi, a businessman who founded AZ-SA a company specialized in urban furniture. The couple split in 2005. During the early years of his life, he was confronted with serious health problems who made him almost confined at home for the majority of his childhood and early teens.

His father Nicolas Manuel Vasconi (born on 15 September 1969 in {{wp|Bienne}}) is of of swiss and french origins on his mother's side and of italian, armenian and lebanese origins on his father's side. His mother, who passed away in 2021, was a high school teacher and his father is a businessman active in the watchmaking industry and a close friend of {{wp|Nicolas Hayek}}. His mother Natalia Silvia Francesconi (born on 17 January 1965 in {{wp|Bienne}}) is of italian and british origins on her mother's side and of italian, persian and omani descent on her father's side. Her mother (who passed away in 2009) owned a luxury clothing shop in {{wp|Bern}} and her father is the former CEO of {{wp|Gucci}} for Switzerland. Her mother was related to the family of {{wp|Richard Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch}} while her father is distantly related to {{wp|Tariq bin Taimur}}, father of the current {{wp|Sultan of Oman}} {{wp|Haitham bin Tariq}} and also distantly related to {{wp|Mohammad Reza Pahlavi}}, the last {{wp|Shah of Iran}}.
In 2006, his mother met {{wp|Mustafa Al-Kadhimi}}, an Iraqi journalist and lawyer who would later become {{wp|Prime Minister of Iraq}}. Marco has since considered him as his father and refers to him as "the man who brought me up, my dad."

He stated that his intentions are to enroll at the {{wp|University of Fribourg}} and study International Law and ultimately become a lawyer.
