The Flag of the Afkun Empire.

The Afkun Empire is a huge nation, with a population of more than 75 million. We have one of the strongest economies in Vibonia, having the capital located at the coastal city of Afkunia. We’re mostly known for our strong culture, arms sales and international artwork. The National Animal is the White Bear, who is present in our flag and coat of arms, with our population center is also located at the coast, well protected by our massive army.

The Afkun Empirean Flag

The Flag of the Afkun Empire has some historical symbolism behind it, with it's 5 stripes of black, gold, silver and black each having it's own elaborate meaning.

The Black in the flag symbolizes the authority of the Empirean House, as well as it's resiliance.

Red symbolizes the blood given by the brave army personnel who lost their lives in name of the Empire.

The Gold and Yellow stripes are a direct reference to the Royal Family, as well as the thriving agricultural sector of the country, with their huge country side farms.

The Shield symbolizes the commitment of the Empire with it's army and the mobility.

The Red and Black represent the army might The Gold represent the wealth and the Royal Family.

The White-Bear in the center is the country's national animal, which is wearing a naval crown to remind us of the Royal Family once more.

The Afkuni populace

The Afkun Empire has a proud, yet somewhat diverse population. That populace is composed of 73% afkunians (the national ethnicity), with the rest being 24% brazilistans, and immigrants. We have a 66% employment rate, with the majority of currently employed being afkunians and brazilistans, who enjoy the same rights. The un-employed usually are army personnel, who don’t enter the ranking as we keep the number of active duty and reserve personnel private.

The Government

The government works on Dom Pedro II's reverse parliamentarism, where the moderator power; the King or Queen alternates the ruling party (executive) every 5 years, with the "Conservative-Military Party/CMP" being the current one in power. The legislative power has 500 federal deputies, built with a ratio of 1:156000 per federal deputy.

The Afkun Empire has 3 major parties, the "Conservative-Military party/CMP", the "Liberal Party of Afkunia/LP", and the "Monarchist party/MP"

Conservative-Military Party

The Conservative-Military Party, CMP, or simply the Conservative Party is a right-wing party, is one of the oldest parties in The Empire, being established in 1813, as the Military Party of the Afkun Empire, it emerged as one the main parties in the Afkunia State, after a popular navy admiral won capital hall in 1840. That admiral being Sir Fjords Ushakniv, who was picked as the Prime Minister in 1850. While the party was initially reserved for Military Personnel, it was opened up for civilians in 1923, being renamed to the Conservative-Military Party in 1926. Currently, out of 500 senators, 134 are from the party.

Liberal Party of Afkunia

The Liberal Party of Afkunia, LP, is a center-left party, being established in 1889, it became a major party after the 1950 elections, after Pavel Lukin won governor for Verdslov. The Liberals hold around 96 seats our of 500 currently.

Monarchist Party

The Monarchist Party, MP, was established in January the 3rd, 1775, it is the oldest active party in the empire, being the most important one currently and historically. The first 7 prime ministers were monarchist, with Sir Dmitry Kubica being the longest serving prime minister ever, serving 25 years in total as prime minister. Currently, the Monarchists hold the Majority of seats, 256 out of 500.

Minor Parties

Communist Afkun Party (CAP)

Established in 1924, this party never reached major status, but, they do hold a single seat in the parliament.

Party for Rostok Independence (PR)

After the conquest of Rostok in 1771, after the Afkuni people conquered it, then established the empire in 1774, the party for rostok independence only holds 3 seats in parliament, and wins elections constantly in the region, with the current governor being member of the PR.
