The Christian Democratic Party (French: Parti Démocrate Chrétien (PDC)) is one of the largest political parties in Montclere. The party follows a Christian democratic and conservative ideology and is generally considered center to center-right. It advocates for the preservation of Montclere’s Christian traditions, moderate economic reforms, and the strengthening of regional autonomy. Like many parties in Montclere, the PDC is strongly pro-Placeholder and supports continued integration within the Placeholder Union.
The PDC has played a dominant role in Montclere's political landscape since its formation, holding the largest share of seats in the Council of Deputies. The party currently holds 20 of the 60 seats in the legislative body, and since its founding, it has been integral to forming coalitions and shaping national policies. The PDC’s influence extends to Montclere’s relationship with the European Union, where it maintains a strong voice in the European Parliament.
The party’s President is Madeleine Girard, who has served as Speaker of the Conseil des Députés since January 2025.
