The Elite League, officially known as the Talvistovan Elite Ice Hockey League, is an Ice Hockey League founded in 1940 and began competition in 1947 due to the outbreak of the [[Second Great War (Sunalaya)]]. The league was formed at the Olympia Hotel on March 5th, 1940 immediately after the bankruptcy of it's predecessor, the National Hockey Alliance. It adopted it's top 4 teams, the Ljustad Ässät, HC Vita Hästen, Jokerit HC, and Fjarora BK, as well as it's championship, the Lord's Cup.
