Medieval illustration of Athyrski from the Codex Urbanorum Locorum

Athyrski was a city-state in northern Telseris, on a headland on the southwest shore of the Odnasbot. Athyrski made its wealth from a modest source of silver upriver, supplemented with the sale of pitch, for shipbuilding, and whalemeat. The small principality of Athyrski emerged in the seventh century, its capital post-dating the breakup of the Telseric Empire. It maintained trade links along the continent's northern coast and with larger polities such as Basarabia. Athyrski often found itself in conflict with the neighbouring Kingdom of Silvaine, and it was frequently subjected to raids and sieges.
