The BFM-60 Jararacussu (Bombadière Furtivo Medían) is a stealth bomber developed for the Inyurstan Air Force. It is named after the deadly Jararacussu viper. Previously known only by the project codename of "SB-2010", the BFM-60 was first unveiled to the public in 2016.

Design

In contrast to most other stealth bombers, the BFM-60 stands out in that it is not a flying wing; rather a single extended delta-wing design with angled curves and a spaced V-tail. Engine design is an S-shape, with divert-less supersonic intakes on the forward-facing section of the plane. It is painted with radar-absorbent materials, and its engine design includes thermal suppressors to lower heat radiation.

RCS values are still highly classified, and at best experimental calculations and estimations; but the Aéroforça claims that it is "smaller than an insect".

The BFM-60 is reportedly capable of supersonic flight, but it is unknown how this would play into a combat situation.

In 2014, roughly two years before its official commission date, six BFM-60 were used to launch cruise missiles against Ardoki. The stealth bombers were able to avoid OTH radar and coastal AWACS patrols, launch missiles from a stand-off range, and escape undetected. Initially, the Inyurstan government refused to comment on whether or not the missiles had been launched from submarine, surface ship or aircraft.

In 2018 the BFM-60 became the first and currently only Inyurstan unit to utilize a nuclear weapon in combat when a pair dropped two modified RPBG-13K-S OPG bombs carrying low-yield devices against Bashriyyan nuclear facilities.
