The Misil Antitanque Individual Modello 2001, more commonly referred to as the MAIM-01 is a reusable antitank weapon derived from the Misil Antitanque Individual Modello 1990 or MAIM-98, disposable antitank rocket launcher also in use by the Royal Mejian Army. It is the primary reusable launcher of both the Royal Mejian Army and the Infantería Naval Real de Mejian
Design
The system has an, integrated, 2.5x optical sight. A night vision device can be used, it does not require boresighting and can be attached and removed in the battlefield within seconds. The optical sight includes interchangeable optics in order to be used for surveillance purposes with 3.3x magnification. Also a laser rangefinder can be mounted for precise target distance measurement.
The weapon is considered to be recoilless, producing a recoil impulse of less than 4 Jules upon firing.
The weapon is not rated for firing in an enclosed space and the operator must ensure the area behind the weapon is clear before firing, as well as ensuring that the weapon is only fired from an open and well ventilated area.

Ammunition types
A variety of ammunition types including anti-tank, dual purpose, anti-bunker, smoke-incendiary, and enhanced blast)
- M-AT90: 90 mm antitank rocket weighing 2.8 kg or 6.1 lbs. Has an effective range of 350 mm versus point targets and is able to penetrate up to 480 mm of RHA or 1.2 m of reinforced concrete.
- M-FT90: 90 mm dual purpose antitank rocket with secondary fragmentation effects. Same weight and effective range as the F-AT90 round, with an effective range against area targets out to 700 mm. Has reduced penetration against RHA of 280 mm ad will produce greater than 1,000 fragments upon detonation.
- M-EF90: 90 mm round intended to disburse obscuring smoke onto the battlefield. Has a weight of 3.4 kg, or 7.4 lbs and an effective firing range of 650 m versus area targets.
- M-AE90: 90 mm round intended to reduce structures such as bunkers or other fortifications. Has a weight of 3.2 kg or 7 lbs, it is designed to penetrate up to 300 mm of reinforced concrete or 180 mm of RHA. After penetration, the round will detonate producing over 400 individual fragments. Has an effective range of 350 m versus point targets.
- M-T90: 90 mm enhanced blast, or thermobaric weapon, will produce a maximum of 750 kPa upon detonation in a confined space. Weighs the same as the F-AE90 round and has an effective firing range of 700 m versus area targets.
